I ntercoelho faces its activity with a major daily challenge: fully guaranteeing the quality and safety of the products produced and marketed, ensuring a high level of consumer health protection, in addition to favoring the competitive export development of our industry and maintaining the commitment acquired with the sector of which we are a part.

We have been certified under the International Food Standart (IFS) version 6.1 certification for several years with a “higher” rating. We intend to ensure and maintain compliance with customer requirements and continue with the level of confidence and quality of our products.

Raising our rabbits

Our rabbits are raised in an environment that is stable for their development and conducive to their well-being, giving them desirable characteristics to improve the quality of their meat.

Monitoring

Intercoelho supports our cunicultures with the intervention of our veterinarian, helping to improve production procedures, in the cuncicultures installed all over the country.

Development

During the development of our rabbits, the necessary conditions are required and maintained to guarantee animal welfare. We believe that by maintaining animal welfare, the quality of the product will be guaranteed and with healthy meat we have guaranteed quality.

Transport and health

The Transport is very secure and after arriving at the slaughter place, a health inspection is carried out by the competent entity that provides services to our company. Only after approval of them are they sent for slaughter.

Slaughter

Once approval has been given, chain slaughter begins. From this moment on, the conditions of safety and quality of the product are guaranteed after the slaughter of the animal. Good practices are required both in handling and hygiene of our employees in order to guarantee all quality from the entry of the product to its dispatch.

Workplace inspections are carried out daily and periodically to ensure the correct functioning and cleanliness of the locations. In order to ensure the proper functioning of the entire food quality and safety system in our facilities. several samples of microbiological analyzes are collected both on the work surfaces and on the product itself, which helps us to understand the effectiveness of the cleaning and disinfection carried out, as well as the good handling and hygiene practices of the products, thus contributing to the proper functioning of the system quality and food security implemented.

Throughout the entire production process, control measures are maintained, such as product temperature control, storage, work and refrigeration vehicles; post-mortem inspection, control of shipping conditions, compliance with customer specifications and current legislation, among others, aimed at the quality of our product.

We guarantee that all the traceability of our products is ensured and is monitored.
